Gheorgheni neighborhood is in close to the old city center of Cluj Napoca, the second district built in Cluj, after Grigorescu. The quarter benefits from numerous commercial, the Traffic Police headquarters, clinics, veterinary clinic and is very well connected with other districts through transport network. You can quickly reach the Avram Iancu Square, where you can visit many sights such as the Metropolitan Orthodox Cathedral,Avram Iancu's statue surrounded by a fountain and green space, the National Theatre and Romanian Opera. For leisure you can choose between the many restaurants that are found here, where you can taste traditional Romanian food recipes, but also with international cuisine influences.

Near Iulius Mall is Gheorgheni lake, around which you can take walks, and during the winter when the lake freezes, becomes an outdoor rink. Faculty FSEGA, from University Babes Bolyai, is near the Iulius Mall shopping center too.
