Cluj Apartments offers tastefully decorated accommodation in historic buildings on 3 locations in the centre of Cluj-Napoca. All our apartments have a definite charm, a cosy feeling, and feature hardwood floors, a kitchen with a dining area, and a living room with a sofa bed. The private bathroom comes with hairdryer and free toiletries.
Situated on the main commercial street of the city, the Grand Apartment has a classic, glamourous design, pieces of antique furniture together with contemporary objects, trying to find the perfect harmony between old and new, classic and modern, with an intimate feeling of a family house. The surface is divided between 2 connecting bedrooms, and a spacious living room, with a adjoining dining area. There is a fully equipped kitchen, completely separated from the living area. The winter veranda or sun room will offer you great relaxing moments, after a long day in the city.
The White Apartment is situated in the main square in the city, right across St. Michael cathedral. It is part of a 19th century building, and used to be a painter's studio. The design is a minimalist, monochrome one, almost like an art gallery, but having the comfort and warm feeling of a home. Floors, windows, and some pieces of furniture are original, beautifully restored, in an Art Nouveau/Art Deco style, accompanied by some pieces of contemporary design.
The Retro Apartment is also situated in the very center of Cluj, and has a wonderful view towards the St. Michael cathedral and the city main square. You couldn't be more central than this. The apartment takes you on a journey into the 1950s through its retro design with exquisite furnishings, decorations and beautiful colors of the 50s (tuqoise, orange, green olive, etc.)
As the apartments are situated right in the center, most of the city attractions are nearby, at walking distance. The best restaurants and cafes, the old city with its narrow, paved streets, most of the tourist attractions, as the Opera House, St. Michaels cathedral, are at your door. Our apartments are located in the central area of the city, on Heroes Avenue and Union Square, located in historic buildings representative for Cluj, some even classified as historic monuments, in the middle of the most important attractions of the city.
Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj is one of the largest public institutions of higher education in our country. It continues the tradition of the University of Cluj created in 1919. In 1959 Romanian University of Cluj (which was called Babes) joined the Hungarian (Bolyai) and then there is the new name, Babes-Bolyai University. But it has roots in the Jesuit College from 1581. Multicultural format was preserved until today in all parts being found university with teaching in Hungarian, Romanian and German.
The multicultural character stands at the Babes-Bolyai University. There are 17 university in Hungarian languages , 10 in German and two in English. Hungarian is taught exclusively in the Faculty of Protestant Theology and Roman Catholic Theology.

Pedestrian route through the center of Cluj
The route follows to go through the most important historic squares in downtown Cluj Napoca by step. Routing is around 2h, varies depending on how long you spend at each landmark.
Departure is from the entry of Horea street, at Michael the Brave Square, where you can enjoy two palaces on sides: ob right the Szeky Palace and the Bobas Palace on left. Forward trough the square to see the imposing statue of Michael the Brave surrounded by green space. It is also surrounded by old buildings with different architecture depending on the periods in which they were built each. In the background you can see an inevitable massive building, the Piersic Cinema. Then you continue to Avram Iancu Square, then Stefan Cel Mare Square, then Eroilor street, then Union Square, then Museum Square and then you came back to Michael the Brave.

National Theatre Cluj Napoca, Romania
The National Theatre Cluj is the leading theater in Transylvania and among the largest in the country. It was built between 1904-1906, its purpose being at the time to host the first theater of Cluj. The theater was inaugurated in 1906 by a representative of the Hungarian Theatre. The building was built in Baroque-Rococo style, and its capacity was one thousand and three rows of balcony seats. In 1919 the theater entered in the heritage of Roman Ruling Council. The same year he had his first show in romanian language in the building of the National Theatre in Cluj, on Romania's national day. In 1940 the theater took refuge in Timisoara, due Vienna Dictate.
There he remained until 1945, when he returned to Cluj led by Aurel Buteanu. The hall has a capacity of 928, which is designed in the style of Neo-Baroque. The Romanian Opera and the The '' Lucian Blaga '' National Theatre are hosted this time by the National Theatre building. Every two years the National Theatre Gala takes place here.
